You won’t be having a problem finding the one that suits you best, this season, floral skirts are to retailers, what bread is to a bakery. Here’s a selection of cute and flirty skirts that you can find online, they are just one click away!

THE GARDEN GODDESS: THE DRESS

Hello, hello my sweet readers! Spring is in full bloom, finally! No more rainy days, only warm and pretty sunny ones (here’s hoping). A blazer and some sky-high heels are the perfect complements. Here’s a selection of pretty and flowery dresses that you can find online.

THE GARDEN GODDESS: THE PANTS

Good morning my sweet readers! Why not start the day with a fresh and floral post? The Garden Goddess series are back and better than ever. On a rainy day like this one, all we need is color. Today’s post is devoted to one of the season’s strongest trends: the flower printed pants. Versatile and resourceful, a pair of floral beauties are a must-have item in your closet. First of all, here’s an adorable selection of trousers you can find online.

SELECTION

TOP: Dolce & Gabbana / TOPSHOP / Dolce & Gabbana

BOTTOM: Current/Elliot / Dolce & Gabbana / River Island

LOOK OF THE DAY

Today’s look is all about cute and casual. Mixing floral pants with a peplum and some trainers would seem rather unusual, but when paired up together, they seem to fall right into place. I rarely use tennis shoes on my looks, let alone Converse, but I am really starting to dig them! What about you?

THE GARDEN GODDESS: THE SHORTS

It’s finally Friday and Milan seems to be happy about it too, the sun is out and the day is warm. Dear rain, I signed up for Spring, if I wanted to see you contsantly I would’ve moved to London. We are halfway through with our Garden Goddess series and today I have prepared a colorful and relaxed look using floral shorts. Shorts are the ultimate weapon a girl has inside her closet, you can use them for almost any occasion and you get to flash and tempt the lads with your killer, lower limbs (I really need to get my legs Spring ready. A little Snookification wouldn’t hurt on this raw pastry-colored pair of pins of mine). Without further ado, I’ve put together a selection of flowery shorts that you can find online.

SELECTION

TOP: Dolce & Gabbana / TOPSHOP / H&M

MIDDLE: Jack Wills / Jason Wu / Marni

BOTTOM: Attic and Barn / TOPSHOP / Delia’s

LOOK OF THE DAY

Using the pair of shorts almost every girl has in her closet, the Zara high waisted ones, I have put together a casual look. It’s marvelous how the pastel ombre sweater works with the floral print. You can definitely take this to Coachella this weekend, just switch the wedges for some flats and a mini crossbody to complete the ensemble.

THE GARDEN GODDESS: THE JACKET

Little Friday, my sweet readers! Ready for the weekend (hopefully, a weekend with no rain)? In case you want a fresh and pretty ensemble for a Saturday afternoon, I’m giving you the best from my flower garden (a rather fashionable and wearable garden). This is the second post from the Garden Goddess series, and judging by the response, you seem to be really enjoying this. Today’s garment is the jacket. A floral jacket is a key piece inside your closet: you can dress it down with some cut-offs and a tank, dress it up for a night out with a sequin or metallic mash-up, or simply wear it with a pair of trousers or some tailored shorts for a smart look. Your closet, your choice, I’m just a hopeful inspirator. Here’s a selection of jackets you can find online, for every pocket there’s an alternative.

SELECTION

TOP: Ted Baker / River Island / River Island

MIDDLE: Dolce & Gabbana / Elizabeth & James / Mary Katrantzou

BOTTOM: Dolce & Gabbana / Manoush / Vera Wang

LOOK OF THE DAY

Lace and floral print have always been a match made in heaven. For this look, I wanted to play with separates instead of a dress. I chose this lace top and tucked it inside a high waisted skirt, leaving outside the tank’s tiny peplum. You likey?

THE GARDEN GODDESS: THE TOP

It’s still rainy and gray here in Milan, my sweet readers. I am hoping you have some warm sun over there, so you can take you killer pins and those wedges out to play. Meanwhile, to cheer me up (and those of you also in the middle of an enraged thunderstorm), the first look from our Garden Goddess series. Forget about the water and let’s concentrate on one garment, the floral embellished top. Sure, we all have that sheer, flower printed blouse inside our closets, but this season it’s time to take it one step further. Whether you go with a sequined tank or an embroidered shirt, this piece has the power of pumping up and twisting on any ensemble. Day or night, a floral, embellished top is a girl’s best friend.

SELECTION

TOP: TOPSHOP / River Island /Miss Selfridge

MIDDLE: Stone / DVF / Semi Couture

BOTTOM: Alice + Olivia / TOPSHOP / Valentino

LOOK OF THE DAY

A dressy outfit than can work for both, a lunch or a cute dinner. Mixing up textures is definitely one of Sweet’n'Raw’s favorite activities and when it involves some sequins, even more so.

THE GARDEN GODDESS SERIES

Well good Tuesday my sweet readers! As I promised you before, I’m here with Sweet’n'Raw’s newest series of posts: THE GARDEN GODDESS. Just by looking at the title and the image, you have probably deduced what it’s all about. Flowers have been around for a couple of seasons and this Spring they are back as one of the strongest trends. Like pastel colors, floral print is another obsession of mine (I would happily swallow a bunch of seeds if could grow flowers inside my belly), you can imagine my excitement. When you have a killer floral designer as a mother, you can’t help but love the whole gardening theme. Anyway, for this season is all about the real print, real looking plants and flowers. Garments should look as if wearing a lively, flower bed. Ready to try it out?

LEATHER ESSENTIALS: the top & the dress

Hello, hello my sweet readers! I’m back again with the last of my “Leather Essentials” posts. This time is all about the top and the dress, two items that are very in trend right now and that you can find in almost every shop. Leather is a powerful fabric and like all things powerful, it has to be used right or you can risk of ruining the whole ensemble. So here for you today, two more looks for you to try out!

THE TOP

Sleeveless, long or short-sleeved and even strapless, it doesn’t matter as long as it looks good and it fits right! For this occasion I chose a black short-sleeved top from Pied a Terre. I tucked it in some maroon tailored shorts from TOPSHOP. I love the color and the print is absolutely adorable (they come with a braided belt, but since the coat we used already has one, you might as well keep it inside your drawer this time). For your body coverage, I threw on this lovely skirted-belted coat form TOPSHOP. As you probably have already seen, burgundy is one of the top color choices for the season. For this chilly days, your legs are gonna need some warm aid, that’s why this knitted tights from TOPSHOP in cream are the perfect choice. For your feet, Topshop’s oxford booties, beautiful and affordable!

For the bag, they are so good I always go back. This fabulous Mulberry Bayswater Heritage satchel in pheasant green is absolutely amazing. For the accessories part, an all-time favorite of mine, fingerless gloves in tan! They are perfect for the outfit and they are simply fabulous! For the last rays of sun, Oliver Peoples Emelita square sunnies. For the final touch a couple of studs from Marc Jacobs and always a classic for your nails, Chanel’s Black Satin.

Want the details on this look? CLICK HERE!

DRESS LOOK

Leather dresses can be tricky but they can also be very fun to style. For this look I wanted to play down the garment. I didn’t want a dressy, dressy result, I wanted a more laid-back one. This flirty mini dress is from Zara, I don’t think it’s available for purchase anymore but you can find similar ones at H&M and Forever 21. To tone it down a bit, this ASOS oversized cardigan is fabulous. I have a crush with cable knit so when I saw it, it was love at first sight. Since it was a bit sunny today, half bare legs with some socks seemed like a good idea, this ones are from ASOS. For the shoes, it is always important that the style goes well with the whole sock thing. I chose this Steve Madden Leopard ones, they are like a mary-jane/peep toe/wedge hybrid. I love them!

For accessories, the always dreamy Proenza Schouler PS1 Medium bag, a ring trio: from ASOS, the ball & claw, the eagle head and the arrow stacked ones from TOPSHOP. For your nails, Deborah Lippmann’s Bitches Brew.

That’s it, now you know all the leather you need to have in your closet to go through this season looking absolutely fab! Have a gorgeous weekend!

Sweet kisses…

LEATHER ESSENTIALS: the shorts & the trousers

It’s fun Friday my sweet, sweet readers and also the second outfit post from our Leather Essentials series. You can click HERE and HERE to read the previous ones. My mind here at Sweet’n'Raw is on full fall mode, and may I say that even though I am a completely S/S person, I am adoring this current season more than ever and all the fashion props we are getting to play with! Today is leather bottom day, I have for you the shorts and the trousers. And to make everyone happy, one of the looks is more on the casual side and the other one is perfect to hit the town on a Friday night like this one. Let’s start, shall we?

THE SHORTS

It has been all aboout shorts these past few seasons and this one in particular, high-waisted, leather shorts are so in trend right now. That is why for this next ensemble I chose this fabulous pair from TWENTY8TWELVE you can find on stylebop.com. I paired it up with a sheer, black tank from Neeed Supply. You must tuck it inside the shorts and as we always say, a black bra with good coverage is absolutely needed, nipple slips are just unforgivable. For the coverage, this season is all about Navajo and wrap cardigans. This warm beauty with woodland prints is from ASOS. Since a little thigh flashing on fall is not crazy, a pair of over the kneee socks can make your outfit cute and chic with a hint of sexy (guys love everything that is over-the-knee). I chose a burgundy pair from ASOS to give the outfit a pop of color. For the shoes, it’s always a Jeffrey Campbell thing for this kind of outfit. This platform wedges in tan can be found on NastyGal.com .

For the bag, I chose this fabulous Miu Miu hairy tote, it’s a winter dreamboat! For the jewelry, an ASOS owl pendant, YSL’s Arty Dots ring and Topshop’s leather clamp with a chain. For some dramatic nails, OPI’s Got the Blues for Red is your way to go!

For all the juicy details on this look, CLICK HERE!

THE TROUSERS

Ready for some sexy and lavish outfit? Oh yes, for leather pants I really wanted to go all out! I picked out this skin-tight ones from ASOS, one of my happiest places on earth. I tucked in one of the loveliest and most beautiful blouses my eyes have ever seen, it’s sheer, it’s blush and it’s from Alberta Ferretti. And if that wasn’t enough, it’s on sale over at The Outnet. For a chilly night, a chic, chic cape is just what the doctor ordered. This one is from Birger et Mikkelsen and can be found at my-wardrobe.com. For the shoes, I had to do it, I’m sorry I had to. My latest obsession, my current object of lust, Alexander Wang’s Simona heels. Don’t you just adore them? seriously I’m two seconds away from robbing a bank to get them.

For the bag, to keep on splurging, Jimmy Choo’s snakeskin clutch. For your lovely hands, I wanted to break with the black and blush pattern, so I chose two teal rings, a skull one from TOPSHOP and the beetle one from Piperlime. And the vintage Chanel one just because I liked it. And for the final touch, get your nails some Cuckoo, with OPI’S Cuckoo for this Color. Sensual lips? Tom Ford’s Spanish Pink will do the trick!

For all the deets on this look, got to FASHIOLISTA!

There you go! Two more down, two to go! I wish you a fabulous and fashionable weekend! May you sleep till noon!

Sweet kisses…

LEATHER ESSENTIALS: The skirt & the jacket

I don’t know about you but rainy days make me über-productive, I have been sketching and drawing non stop! And you know what this means right? Tons of new posts and fashion coming your way, my sweet, sweet readers! For today I have some more leather! Remeber my last post, the one about the leather pieces you absolutely need to have inside your fall closet? If you don’t or haven’t read it, just click here to do so. Like your usual cooking recipe, after the ingredients come the directions, and in our very fashionable case: THE STYLING! So if you are ready to rock those killer pins in a show-stopping leather skirt or make that biker jacket of yours the star of your ensemble, keep on readin’ baby, keep on readin’!

THE SKIRT

This baby is no longer skin-tight and sexy, she has evolved into a more sophisitcated and chic version of herself. The leather skirt can now be found with pleats, volume, ruffles and other cute details never seen before in it. Taking this into consideration, I chose a Zara big seller, the pleated, leather mini (they also made it in blush, j’adore!). I paired it up with a duo I am loving right now, it’s kind of preppy chic, the sweater over the button-down. The blouse has a leopard collar which gives the whole ensemble a cute and wild kind of twist. The camel sweater from J. Crew has the perfect shape and fit to pull the look off! Since it’s chilly out there, I chose this “fake garter” tights, I am absolutely mad about them (a tip, get them while you still can). For the shoes, since it’s a bit too girly on the top, we gotta tone it down a bit. What better way to achieve this than with a pair of Alexander “the Master” (my master) Wang booties. Newsflash: this Constance boots are on sale over at the Outnet.

For accessories we have to go classic and classic means Chanel’s 2.55 bag in black. For jewelry, Topshop pearl clip-ons, a deep red ring shaped as a heart and the also classic Hermes enamel bracelet in black. For beauty, give your pucker some crimson with this Tom Ford lipstick and go for a high bun, you wanna show everyone your lovely earrings!

For all the juice on this look, CLICK HERE

THE JACKET

For the skirt I gave you cute, for the jacket I had to give you cool. Leather jackets have become must-have items, so here is one idea on how to put together a fun and laid-back, but always chic look. I chose this Zara python trousers, you should now know that python is all over this season. And since this is a very strong garment and we do not want the whole femme fatale look, by pairing it with a blush pussybow blouse and a v-neck gray sweater we add more freshness to the whole thing. And now to top it off, the leather jacket of your choice, I went with this one from Mango. For the shoes, a twisty detail. This Maison Margiela metallic oxfords took my breath away ever since I set eyes on them (for a nuetral junkie and a shiny disco ball spirit just like myself, that combo is just pure perfection).

For the bag, back to the Master. Mr. Wang’s Rocco Duffel in black. For accessories, a black spiked ring, a skull, cooper one and a gray bracelet fron Sence Copenhagen . For you beautiful nails, from Essie’s stunning collection, Cocktail Bling.

For all the dirty deets on this look, CLICK HERE

There you go! Two leathery looks for a leathery season. Four more coming up! Come back tomorrow to check them out and also, it’s still on the works but a big, big surprise is coming soon! Are you excited? I AM!

Hoping this rain will go away, sweet kisses…
